Welcome to my Lightning Gallery page. These photos capture in a split second, all of the beautiful details that the human eye can never see during the flash of the bolt. The beauty, awe, and raw power of lightning in a thunderstorm is so amazing to photograph, powerful enough to respect, and yet- so captivating to draw you closer...
"Twilight Static" Timing and ingredients came together as a small but eclectic thunderstorm discharges a positive strike as the sun sets in Alabama. "Twilight Static" As the sun fades, a small but eclectic thunderstorm produces heavy rain and a large CG strike of lightning during its reign across Alabama. "Silver Lining" Lightning crawls under the belly of a group of tornadic storms that are moving away from my position. This shot captures a silver ling to the damage and destruction that occurred the day before in the Plains. "Red Velvet" An incredible single CG bolt of lightning occurs over a North Alabama cornfield- giving the hope of rain during a drought. "Rain Dance" A violent CG bolt dances over the parched fields of North Alabama at night during a very hard drought. "Synchronized Strikes" A double CG lightning strike during a night time thunderstorm signals rain during a tough drought in North AL. "Drought Buster" A parched cornfield looks up with promise of rain as a thunderstorm in the distance lights up the night with an array of bolts.		"Sky on Fire" A severe lightning storm over Huntsville, AL produces sheets of highly electric leaders as rain pours down to the city below. "Electrical Radiance" A spectacular display of CG lightning as a late night storm advances through Huntsville, AL. "Chaotic Discharge" This amazing CG-CA lightning strike occurs as a storm cell moves into the Huntsville, AL area. "Positive Strikes" A rare clear-air storm expels large positive CG-CA-CC strikes in South TN. This storm was so electric! "Positive Energy" A large positive lighting strike illuminates a severe storm in South TN like a light bulb surging with electricity. "Anvil Crawler" Lightning crawls along the anvil of a dying electrical storm in Hampton Cove, AL, as its remaining energy is released. "Spider Lightning" A violent display of "Spider Lightning" erupts as a storm over Hampton Cove, AL fades with grace and dissolves.
